Valmayor Dam Hydropower Plant

Project overview

A hydropower plant at the Valmayor reservoir. The dam is rockfill with an upstream asphaltic concrete waterproofing panel, a nine-metre crest and slopes of 1.75:1 upstream and 1.30:1 downstream with two four-metre banks. The basin delivers an average annual contribution of 116 Hm³ measured over twenty-five years. The commission covered the design project, technical assistance for construction supervision, and both health and safety and environmental coordination.
