Villanueva de la Cañada Master Plan
Group Portfolio
Project overview
The plan in force dates from 1998. The revision reclassifies a tenth of the municipal territory as developable, taking the developable share to forty per cent of the municipality, and adds 180 hectares of sectorised urban land. It is provision for a population projected to reach 36,210 by 2042, and around 42,000 if every proposed development is built out. A further 132 hectares of non-sectorised developable land is held in reserve, giving the council a legal framework for balanced growth rather than a fixed build-out.
